Responsibilities:

  • Oversee accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions at a newly acquired company.
  • Manage daily A/R tasks, including progress billing with or without AIA forms, invoicing, customer receipts, and collections.
  • Handle daily A/P processes, including vendor setup, PO matching, bill recording, and payments.
  • Monitor cash management, intercompany billings, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead and develop an accounting team (3-5 direct reports).
  • Support month-end close, audits, and process improvements.
  • Assist with HR functions, including payroll and benefits administration.

Qualifications:

  • Construction industry experience required; AIA billing expertise preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with WIP accounting.
  • Prior experience leading or supervising accounting teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
