Now hiring for an Indianapolis Payroll Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead payroll processing activities and support resolution of payroll-related issues.
  • Coach, mentor, and support payroll team members while fostering accountability and ownership.
  • Coordinate audits, maintain documentation, and support payroll compliance activities.
  • Review and maintain payroll records, employee data, and related information.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures, SOPs, and process documentation.
  • Train team members and provide guidance on payroll processes and best practices.
  • Identify payroll discrepancies, recommend solutions, and support process improvements.
  • Analyze payroll data and support special projects and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a high-volume or complex payroll environment preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP.
  • Leadership, coaching, mentoring, and team development abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, accountability, and strong time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered. Union and multi-state payroll experience are helpful but not required.

This position is hybrid (1 day remote) once training is complete and trust is established.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee payroll processing across multiple entities
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Manage payroll taxes, audits, and year-end reporting
  • Lead and develop the payroll team
  • Drive process improvements and standardization
  • Partner with internal stakeholders on payroll initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large-scale payroll operations, required
  • Multi-state payroll experience, required
  • Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations, required
  • Experience processing payroll for 5k+ employees, required
  • Prior leadership experience managing payroll professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Workday experience, strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent payroll experience

This position allows for one day remote per week, after being fully trained and trust is established.
