Responsibilities:

  • Enter invoices in the accounting system for payments
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding invoicing and payment inquiries and discrepancies
  • Process check runs, once approved by the Accounting Manager
  • Compile and enter credit card charges in the accounting system
  • Reconcile receipts received to changes on CC invoices
  • Prepare summaries of cash receipts and deposit incoming payments into the bank
  • Prepare monthly billing to schools for specialty services provided for both IN and MO campuses
  • Review monthly mileage and contractor reports and cross reference with EI Hub for accuracy
  • Process online submissions for state reimbursements
  • Verify billing reports balance with accounting software
  • Assist with open invoice follow-up

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is heavily preferred
  • 1-3 of accounting experience required
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with nonprofit accounting is preferred
  • Knowledge of nonprofit financial compliance
  • Ability to read and interpret financial documents (invoices, billing statements, payments).
  • Highly proficient in the use of MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Financial Edge software is a plus
