Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first-level HR support for employees at the hospital.
  • Provide in-person HR presence, answering frontline questions and directing employees to appropriate HR resources.
  • Support the broader HR team across the health system via Teams as needed.
  • Become familiar with HR policies and procedures to effectively assist employees.
  • Maintain and manage documentation related to HR processes.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of HR experience required; 5+ years preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as the sole onsite HR presence.

  • Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is a plus.

This position requires onsite presence at Elkhart General Hospital (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, approximately 20 hours/week, with flexibility up to 30 hours as needed). This temporary position is expected to last at least 6 months.
