Now hiring for an Indianapolis Bookkeeper.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare basic financial reports for leadership.
- Manage payroll data entry and coordinate with payroll providers.
- Monitor cash flow and flag discrepancies.
- Assist with month end close tasks.
- Organize and maintain financial documents for audits and tax preparation.
Qualifications:
- Must have 1-2 years or more of experience reconciling bank accounts, balancing statements, processing AP/AR invoices and auditing accounting filesSolid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial recordkeeping.
- Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Accurate data entry skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive financial information.
- High School Diploma required. Associate degree or bookkeeping certificate often preferred.
- Competence in Excel, including formulas and spreadsheet organization.
