Contract Collector
Now hiring for an Indianapolis Contract Collector.
Responsibilities:
- Collect assigned accounts by telephone, email, and mail correspondence, in order to
reduce delinquency, repossessions, and charge-offs - Receive members by telephone, review their accounts, and attempt to determine the best
solution for Credit Union and members - Maintain thorough, accurate, and up-to-date activity reports on delinquent accounts
- Prepare and maintain the records of collection activity on assigned accounts
- Research accounts to identify activities that may affect the status of a loan repayment
such as payroll deduction stoppage - Stay up to date on Credit Union loan policies, interest rates, and how loans are set up and maintained
- Assist in researching, processing, and collecting Collateral Protection Insurance Policies, premiums, and claims
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of consumer loan collection experience preferred
- Must be proficient in the use of a calculator, computer, and general office equipment
- Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written. Must have the ability to
organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment - Must be familiar with USERS, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel or become proficient
within 90 days in the position - Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information
This is a 3-month contract position. This role is in the office.
