Now hiring for an Indianapolis Inventory Accountant.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve inventory tracking and reporting to provide accurate, timely insights.
  • Perform reconciliations and ensure proper accounting procedures for intercompany transactions.
  • Manage and maintain the fixed asset database, create capital project accounts, and reconcile fixed assets quarterly.
  • Run financial statements and support automation efforts, allowing for the eventual delegation of data entry tasks.
  • Maintain the company’s purchase card program and assist with journal entries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including plant operations, procurement, and commercial groups.
  • Assist with external audits and other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of relevant accounting experience (inventory accounting preferred).
  • Strong foundation in debits, credits, reconciliations, and fixed assets accounting.
  • Experience with Great Plains is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and improve processes to increase efficiency.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Previous public accounting experience is okay, but this is not an entry-level role—we are looking for someone with hands-on experience.rk.
