Labor Relations Manager

Now hiring for a South Bend Labor Relations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of associate and labor relations professionals, overseeing issues for union and non-union employees across multiple hospital locations.
  • Direct contract negotiations, high-level grievances, and union relationships.
  • Develop and roll out standard policies and training across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to design and launch a new ServiceNow-based ticketing system.
  • Support policy enforcement, ADA accommodations, and corrective action procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive labor relations experience, including union negotiations and CBA expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of ADA and accommodations processes.
  • Effective leadership experience with remote and onsite teams.
  • An assertive, solution-oriented communicator who can confidently navigate union discussions and influence senior leadership.
  • Experience in healthcare, shared services, or COE environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft and/or ServiceNow is helpful but not required.

Location & Travel:

  • Although this position is remote, the candidate MUST reside in the South Bend, IN area, as there will be frequent on-site presence in Kalamazoo, MI, Three Rivers, MI, and South Bend, IN.
  • Must be able to travel quickly when needed for negotiations, investigations, or high-priority issues.
