Litigation Paralegal
Now hiring for an Indianapolis Litigation Paralegal
Responsibilities:
- Read, review, summarize, and manage internal discovery
- Track court and other case deadlines and filings
- Manage and organize litigation case files
- Review and monitor incoming incident accident reports
- Provide guidance and direction to apartment site teams responding to incidents and accidents, including the collection of incident documentation
- Submit documentation to insurance carriers and pursue recovery of insurance proceeds
- Perform insured loss analysis
- Facilitate timely payment to repair vendors
- Prepare litigation and insurance claim-related reporting regularly
- Answer claims-related and policy questions for company employees
Qualifications:
- College degree or Paralegal Certification strongly preferred
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in either the management of insured property and casualty claims or in a litigation paralegal role is required
- Experience using Origami Risk Management System strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of basic accounting preferred
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Able to work overtime
- Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
