Now hiring for an Indianapolis Litigation Paralegal

Responsibilities:

  • Read, review, summarize, and manage internal discovery
  • Track court and other case deadlines and filings
  • Manage and organize litigation case files
  • Review and monitor incoming incident accident reports
  • Provide guidance and direction to apartment site teams responding to incidents and accidents, including the collection of incident documentation
  • Submit documentation to insurance carriers and pursue recovery of insurance proceeds
  • Perform insured loss analysis
  • Facilitate timely payment to repair vendors
  • Prepare litigation and insurance claim-related reporting regularly
  • Answer claims-related and policy questions for company employees

Qualifications:

  • College degree or Paralegal Certification strongly preferred
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in either the management of insured property and casualty claims or in a litigation paralegal role is required
  • Experience using Origami Risk Management System strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting preferred
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work overtime
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
