Responsibilities:
Conduct I-9 audits and update backlogs to ensure compliance
Respond to unemployment claims and manage logs of EEOC claims
Respond to subpoenas promptly
Organize and maintain files and data to ensure they are in the system properly
Collaborate with legal and HR teams for any compliance issues and to improve processes
Qualifications:
Experience in labor and employment law or paralegal certification required
Background with unemployment claims, EEOC claims, and subpoenas required
Prior experience utilizing E-Verify preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team
Proficient in data management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Location & Travel:
Although this position is remote, the candidate MUST reside in the South Bend, IN area, as there will be frequent on-site presence in Granger, IN, and South Bend, IN.
This role will require training to be conducted fully in the office and then transition to a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the leadership team across the organization
Work with experts from different HR departments to lead initiatives such as hiring, training, compensation, and benefits
Ensure staff have the resources and support needed
Partner with business leaders to understand priorities and needs to develop strategic solutions that align with company goals
Design and implement processes to enhance the overall employee experience
Lead the implementation of any new technologies
Develop and deliver training materials
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field required
Experience in a strategic and consultative HR model required
5+ years of experience in HR operations or Shared Services required
Experience in healthcare, shared services, or COE environments is a plus
SPHR or SHRM certification is a plus
Proficiency with PeopleSoft and/or ServiceNow is helpful but not required
