Playing Matchmaker: Pairing Employers with Job Seekers

Who says matchmaking is just for couples? At That’s Good HR, we’re in the business of matchmaking. It’s what we do every single day. Some staffing firms have the reputation of just filling seats—plugging employees into positions without much thought or care. That’s not us. Not even close.

The kind of matchmaking we do centers around meaningful, successful relationships. It begins with our investment and commitment to our candidates (job seekers) and clients (employers). We get to know people personally and dive deep into what their needs, expectations, and goals are. Being a mid-size, locally-rooted staffing firm allows us to do this well.

Making mutually beneficial matches matters to us far more than just checking a placement off our to-do list. We’re in this with you. We’re advocates, out to genuinely place job-seekers in roles that are a great fit for both sides.

The Keys to a Great Match

So, how do we do it? Here are just a few steps we take to ensure a terrific employer-employee match.

·         In-person meetings: Technology is a great communication bridge, but there’s something special about face-to-face interaction that allows for better understanding and relationship-building. Because we’re a local firm, we are able to talk in person with both job-seekers and employers and get to know them better.

·         The right questions: We care more about just start dates and skills. We ask about goals, dreams, expectations, soft skills, work culture preferences, and personality traits. We gather the fullest picture we can, which allows us to create better outcomes.

·         Keeping in touch: First off, when you call TGHR, you’re going to get a human and not a phone tree. Secondly, we don’t make placements and then disappear. Regular communication with our candidates and clients allows us to make sure everything goes smoothly.
