What am I thankful for?  That’s something almost everyone is asking this week as we near Thanksgiving.  For most of us it’s a question we can answer in simple terms.  Our family, our health, our career, the soldiers and veterans whom have fought and continue to fight for our freedom.  There are so many things to be thankful for the list could go on for days.

I decided to focus on what I’m thankful for here at That’s Good HR.

1.  I am thankful for the candidates that come to us as a reputable Indianapolis based staffing firm and allow me to assist them in their job search.  Without them, I couldn’t service the many excellent organizations here in Indianapolis that I get to each year.  Along with that, I am thankful for the relationships I have built over the years with our candidates.  Hearing stories of their career achievements or anniversaries, family weddings, births, special milestones (30th wedding anniversary) truly makes my day brighter.  I love getting the opportunity to get to know my candidates on a deeper level as they trust me to find the right job match for them.  For me, it’s about building a relationship that will last for years to come!

2.  I’m thankful for the companies that trust us to help them find their “ideal candidate”.  When our clients strategically partner with us to help them grow their organization, amazing things happen.  I feel honored to be a part of that.  It’s very rewarding to know that your clients will call you the next time they have an opening because they are excited about the employee they hired from you!

3.  I’m thankful for an amazing team here at That’s Good HR that covers me when I am out or lends a helping hand when I need it.  I can trust that my team has me covered and my candidates will get the same level of customer service from my team even if I’m on vacation.

4.  I’m thankful for candidates that share their honest experience with me.  I love growing and learning from different situations and I feel honored that they feel comfortable enough to tell me what they liked and what I could have done better.

These are the things that make the work I do exciting and rewarding.  Although, I don’t get the opportunity to express my gratitude to each of you often enough, I appreciate that you allow me to be part of a crucial time of your life (the job search).  You are the reason for the very existence of our company and I’m thankful for you!
