Responsibilities:
- Audit union payrolls to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Review 401(k) contributions to confirm correct deductions and distributions
- Ensure payroll data aligns with IRS and state reporting requirements
- Interpret and apply terms of various Collective Bargaining Agreements
- Maintain detailed and organized audit workpapers
- Prepare reports and present findings in payroll audit team meetings
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of auditing or bookkeeping experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and VPN portals
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of payroll reporting and compliance standards
